The map has places with in two hours (3 max) of Phnom Penh. Kampong Cham Province is rich with sites and places to visit. We recommend spending a few days there enroute to Kracheh, Ratanakiri, and Sen Monorom. Mekong Crossing Bar and Restaurant is western managed and also provides plenty of local information. Kampong Cham is a two hour bus ride from Phnom Penh. Phnom Chissor is 45K south of Phnom Penh and stops can easily be made at Tonle Bati and Prasat Nieng Kamal. Prasat Boran is an ancient site but relatively little remains of the pre Angkorian temple. It is a worthwhile stop as recent wartime history is evident in the buildings around the wat.
Set on the back drop of sitting guards at one of the temples at Long Vaek, Khmer woman heading home after work, relief work at Tonle Bati, Prasat Nieng Kamal, Kuha Nokor, Sunset 13K north of Phnom Penh, Khmer Woman on the Prek Kaddam Ferry, A large python at a at Temple north of Phnom Penh, Phnom Da at Angkor Borei, Lower Temple at Phnom Chissor, Built between 1998 and 1998 Wat Nokor Vimean Suor, Funan period statue at the museum at Ankor Borei.

While in Kampong Cham, pop in to the Mekong Crossing Restaurant and Lazy Mekong Daze located on the Riverfront.
