Angkor Wat Cambodia

Battambang located in NW Cambodia, is about 5 hours from Phnom Penh.  It is the second most populated city in the Kingdom.  The town is full of French Colonial architecture.  A large percent of the population in the province arrived there as a result of trying to flee into Thailand during the Khmer Rouge and resettlement once the country was again stable. This province was heavily mined as well. Though not the prime tourist destination in the country, tourist are rewarded with a large variety of sites to be seen.
